Starting from the ferrule-less
and easy-to assemble standard connector
OPTOCLIP II of HUBER+SUHNER, new applications
have been developed. The new OPTOCLIP
II REPEAT connector (as suggested by
its name) can be assembled more than
just once. A threaded clamping device
locks the fibre in place inside the connector.
If required, it can be opened again,
allowing the connector to be reassembled.
Apart from crimping, the assembly procedure
is identical to the one applied for the
standard OCTOCLIP II, which allows the
same time-saving tool to be used.
